Manchester United have experienced an injury plagued season, which has in turn affected their performances this term.
Coupled with their exit in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, the Red Devils also face an uphill task of making the top four as they sit sixth on the Premier League standings.
Erik ten Hag will be needing a fit squad ahead of the final games of the campaign and he has been boosted by the return of summer recruit, Mason Mount.
The 25-year-old Englishman returned to training on Tuesday after sitting out the last four months with a calf injury.
The midfielder, who completed a £60million switch to Old Trafford from Chelsea, has made just 12 appearances this season.
With his last appearance coming against Luton Town in November, Mount will look to silence critics who have had a less positive opinion on his arrival.
Mount is unlikely to feature in Sunday's FA Cup clash against Liverpool but should be available after the international break when United travel to Brentford on March 30.
